Jo Fincham is looking for love.

HAWTHORN'S Jo Fincham has followed her heart to the farm.

The 30-year-old Leader photographer signed up for television show The Farmer Wants a Wife in the hope of finding love; and if last night's episode is anything to go by, she is well on her way.

"I'd been single for a while after a big heartbreak and thought this year I wanted to find someone and settle down," Jo said.

"I loved the show last year and thought, why not?"

Farmer Rob, one of six country lads with marriage on their minds, chose Jo and another woman for a 10-day stay at his Mount Gambier property in episode two of the series.

The aim: to give the city girls a taste of country life and have some one-on-one time with their potential husband.

"We were put to work straight away herding and tagging cattle and cleaning out troughs," Jo said.

"It was great fun!"

Jo said she felt a connection with Rob, who grew up in Hawthorn, early in the show. "He was very thoughtful and put me at ease. He's also a bit older and knows exactly what he wants which appealed to me," she said.

A mutual love of extreme sports came in handy when the pair went skydiving on a group date.

"I was really excited because I had just said that week I wanted to go skydiving again," she said.

But the path to true love is never easy and the question remains: Will Farmer Rob choose Jo for his barnyard bride?

Tune in to find out Monday nights at 8.30pm on Channel 9.
