DAVID McKessy is just 11, but his soccer talent may send him overseas for the second time.
The Glen Iris resident, who plays with the South Eastern Piranhas Football Club, was selected for the Victorian Primary Schools Sports Association's Victorian under-12 team in June.
The team will compete at the School Sport Australia Football (soccer) exchange in Melbourne from September 6-12.
David has also been invited to train with Everton Football Club's elite academy in England this year, after impressing selectors during his 2007 stay.
"It was a great experience to see how they play their football and it was really good they invited me back this year," David said.
He has clocked up an enviable achievements list since he started soccer aged four, including an invitation to attend the Inter Milan development academy in Italy.
He has also represented Victoria 49 times as part of the Victorian Futsal (indoor soccer) team. David said his hectic five-day soccer schedule did not bother him because he loved the game. "When I get older I want to play professionally and be the best in the world," he said.
David is a Progress Leader junior Sports Star award nominee.
